_Born in Bay City, Texas, Joshua Baker is a small town boy with small town values. He believes that a man or woman knows best how to tend to their business far better than a bureaucrat in Austin or Washington. He believes if a man works hard he should be entitled to the fruits of his labor and not have it stripped by an overgrown and overspent government.
With a degree in political science from Dallas Baptist University he has studied the workings of government and finds them to be broken. He finds that government no longer works for the people but against them, that the two-party system stifles discussion in the country and state. Republicans and Democrats alike on all levels put the interest of their respective parties above the interest of the very people they work for.
Having worked in fields ranging from ministry to a fertilizer warehouse he understands the struggles facing everyday hard working Americans, the struggles to pay the bills even while working two jobs. Working hard to balance his personal budget while the government continues to borrow more and spend more. He is sick and tired of his constitutional liberties being stripped away by a tyrannical police state under the guise of protection from terrorists. The country and state he loves have become a tyranny ruled by the elite in Austin and Washington, but the power still lies in the hands of the people and he will be their voice. A voice to fight for freedom and bring the power back to the weathered hands of the people.
